India and Intel Have Partnered to Train 1 Lakh Youngsters in AI this Year

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Intel India have launched the “AI for Entrepreneurship” micro-learning module.

This program will equip 100,000 youngsters across India (both rural and urban areas) with AI (artificial intelligence) and entrepreneurial skills by 2025. This program aims to make AI simple to understand, explore opportunities, and solve problems creatively.

This ‘AI for Entrepreneurship’ module offers interactive learning and a complete curriculum to use AI in business and entrepreneurship. Youngsters from both cities and villages will have access to this program. Learners will get a joint certification from MSDE, NSDC, Skill India, and Intel, boosting their job prospects.

Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “This initiative embodies our commitment to fostering innovation, empowering individuals, and building a skilled workforce ready to shape the industries of tomorrow. Together, let us harness the power of AI to unlock potential, create jobs, and drive our nation towards a brighter, self-reliant future where talent and technology drive India’s growth story.”

While highlighting Intel’s commitment to developing AI and entrepreneurship in India, Gokul Subramaniam, President of Intel India and Vice President of Client Computing Group said, “AI as a technology unlocks many possibilities, bringing about a generational shift. By offering home-grown entrepreneurship education content as part of Intel’s AI skilling initiative, we aim to inspire young minds to create innovative business solutions and contribute to India’s societal and economic growth.”

This partnership is a significant step in equipping youngsters with knowledge and skills to succeed in today’s AI-driven world.
